A common question we have been asked is: Can I have the radio playing in the background, or the TV on, or use a photo I found online in my clip?
The general answer and rule is - No.
If you do not own the rights to resell the music, or the photo, or the TV show/video/movie playing in the background of your clip then you can not use it in your clip. You can not take screenshots from other peoples videos and use them in your clips either.
You must either own the rights to the content you want to use (music, photo, video) or you must have a licensing agreement to be able to use the content in your clip.
There are many royalty-free photos, videos, and music tracks available online which can be used in your clips and it is up to you to make sure that any extra content you are featuring in your clip is done so legally.
For example, the content is designated as royalty-free or you have a written licensing agreement from the copyright holder to resell, feature, or use their content in your clips.
In order to find royalty-free content, it's as easy as a Google Search!
